Our gracious host venue sponsor Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery in Langley, BC, will host our beloved event again this year! It’s BC’s Official Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) and Certified World Recognized Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Event!!!

Our event hosted in Langley, BC, is the ONLY world recognized giant pumpkin weigh-off event in Western Canada, with the next closest event being hosted in Manitoba.

Contestants will weigh their Gargantuan Gourds, as well as other giant fruits and veggies, in front of a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators, fellow growers and the media!

This is a very well-advertised event that draws nearly all local television and print media covering this amazing story each year. In 2023, our event drew nearly 5,000 people – it was our BIGGEST event ever!!!

Contestant’s arrival time is between 9:30 and 10:30 AM. Weigh-off start time is around 11:00 AM. Giant (Atlantic) pumpkins, giant squash, largest field (regular) pumpkins, giant marrow, largest bushel gourds, longest gourds, giant tomatoes and largest watermelons, are weighed in the order of their estimated weight, lightest to heaviest, with the largest pumpkins being weighed last. The length of the weigh-off depends on the number of entries. In previous years, the winners were announced around 2:00 PM. Sponsors set up time is 9:00 AM and take down time is between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. The farm closes at 5:00 PM.

- First Place Engraved Plaque for Heaviest Giant Pumpkin
- First Place Engraved Plaque for Heaviest Giant Squash
- First Place Engraved Plaque for Howard Dill Award “Prettiest” Giant Pumpkin
- Rosette Ribbons for 2nd to 10th Place Giant Pumpkins
- Rosette for Longest Gourd (first place only)
- Rosette for Giant Tomato (first place only)
- Rosette for Largest Watermelon (first place only)
- Rosette for Largest Field (Regular) Pumpkin (first place only)

This is a FREE event, no tickets or reservations required. Please arrive early to Krause Berry Farms for brunch/lunch and enjoy the festivities! This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY & FUN event!! Pick your very own pumpkin from their fields while checking out the Giants! Then, visit The Market, The Bakery & KB Coral because they are serving everything PUMPKIN! Pumpkin pie, ice cream, waffles, shortcakes, fudge and all of your other fall favourites! Saddle up in their Estate Winery and enjoy a taste of their award winning wines, listen to LIVE music, before heading out for one more look at the winning Giant Pumpkin! Enjoy the show!!
