Together we can fly higher than any one of us on our own, and there's always someone there to catch us when we fall. This is our definition of community and why we're coming together July 22-24th for Vancouver's first annual Acro Yoga Festival.

Get warm, limber, and ready for the day in this playful warm-up for the whole group!
12 PM - 2:30 PM
INTERMEDIATE: Acro Yoga Pops! (With Slava and Devon)
Join Slava Goloubov and Devon French for a progressive intensive focused on pops. We will start out with calibrations and work our way through some intermediate pop transitions. We will even link together some pops to make a sequence. Come ready fly high and get some lift off :) must have prior expierence with acroyoga and have stable foundations.
BEGINNER: FUNdamentals of Acro Yoga ( With Aya and Paul)
Are you new to the world of acro and this all seems a bit wild? Do you really want to play but don’t know where to start? This is the workshop for you. This intensive will transform you into the Acro ninja you dream of being! We will focus on the basics: stacking, alignment and learn all the classic Acro poses you’ve seen in pictures and dreamt of doing. Attendees will come out of this workshop with a strong Acro foundation to carry you through the whole weekend of fun!

10-11:30AM - The Fundamentals of Connection (With Matt and Erin (Beg/Int))
Double check everything you thought you knew about acro in this class where you will come back to fundamentals, and then soar forward with newfound confidence and an understanding of why your acro endeavours are, or are not working.
Pre-reqs: 5-10 push-ups, 15-second spotted handstand
L-Basing FUNdamentals (With Local Teachers (Beg))
Drill the basics of L-basing in new ways! Get your lines straight and your foundation solid!
11:30AM-1PM - European Washing Machines (With Alicia and Aya (Beg/Int))
Come try some washing machines and flows from across the great ocean!
Standing Acro 101 (With Slava and Devon (All Levels))
Come try some begginers standing acobatics! We will work on some basic counterbalance working our way up to two man high! This class will be great for all levels come ready to explore.
1PM-3PM - LUNCH
3PM-4:30PM - Come Flow! (With Ladybase)
Assimilate some swiftly funky entries and exit into some of Ladybases own creative washing machine. Learn how to maneuver through them gracefully and flow rhythmically, like a dance.
Handstands 101 (With Slava Goloubov (All levels))
Expand your already growing inversion practice by joining Slava Goloubov,where together you will investigate and polish your skills and grow your knowledge, of the world that is upside down.

Learn to use AcroYoga to build strength as a dynamic fitness tool. Be guided through this AcroYoga Jedi training experience. This class combines the elements of partner tightness drills, YogaSlackers conditioning, and acrobatic flying... Brace yourself to condition your muscles and your mind through this high intensity conditioning session.
Let Whippin' Begin! (with Ladybase AKA Mélanie Beaudette (Int))
Learn the foundational skills to be a whippin' good acroyogi. Labybase will break down the steps necessary to let your flyers flow seamlessly through the bases legs, and teach the principals needed to land the whips as a flyer. We'll also be exploring some fun entries into whips. Wapeesh!
11:30-1PM - Let Loose: Lessons within Playfullness in Acroyoga (With Jeff Boyd (All Levels))
This playful workshop will feature various games and activities that help people break out of their comfort zones, make people smile, and let loose. Inherent in these will be lessons in connecting, falling, spotting, points of contact, holding and releasing shape, support, and breath.
Slacklining 101 (With SlackLife BC (All levels))

3PM-4:30PM - Get Up, Stand Up! (With Matt and Erin (Int/Adv))
Take your acro up a notch or two with this fun and accessible standing acro class. Learn safe and efficient ways into some of the most aesthetic standing acro poses. Surprise yourself with how capable you are of finding success in these poses. Ladybase’s welcome!

SLACKRO: EXPLORING THE ART OF SLACKLINING THROUGH ACROYOGA (With Laura and ShawnT (Beg/Int))
Drawing on the Yoga Slackers expertise of yoga, slacklining and acrobatics, this workshop will be an in-depth exploration moving toward redefining our perceived limits of what is possible. We will first explore the art of dynamic balance through our solo practice. We will continue the journey into partner-work as we simulate the slackline experience with AcroYoga. We will draw on these experiences to create a final “Slackro” flow together.
