This sea-sational annual event celebrates and showcases our vibrant local maritime community with live music and performances on stage, an interactive Waterfront Community Zone, captivating on-water marine demonstrations, maritime simulators and exhibits, the return of the Maritime Career Zone, and — new for 2025 — a lively Family Zone packed with sea-worthy fun for all ages!

Port Day is held in honour of the International Maritime Organization’s World Maritime Day. This year’s World Maritime Day theme is “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity”, reflecting the ocean’s vital role in the world economy, with more than 80% of global trade transported by sea.

- KTL Transport North Point Stage: The tides are high and so is the energy! Enjoy live music and performances all day long with acts like Wyper & Parker, Big Easy Funk Ensemble, and headliner The Boom Booms!
- Maritime Career Zone sponsored by Canaan Group: Dreaming of a life at sea—or keeping things ship-shape from shore? Drop anchor here and chat with over 20+ organizations showcasing careers across Canada’s marine sector. Whether you’re a deckhand dreamer or a shore-side strategist, there’s a role that fits your course.
- Family Zone (New for 2025!): Batten down the hatches—the Family Zone is making waves! Offering everything from bouncy castles to crawling gyms for the littlest sailors to simulators by BC Ferries, Ocean Wise’s Sea Dome, and more for the older crew, it’s a boatload of seaworthy fun for all ages.
- BC Maritime Employers Association Waterfront Community Zone: Take a stroll along the west promenade and set sail through 20+ interactive exhibitor booths. Meet the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue, Jericho Sailing Centre, DP World Vancouver, and more. It’s your chance to see the maritime community in action!
- Marine demonstrations sponsored by Fasken: At 2:00 p.m., head over to the North Point and watch the Burrard Inlet come alive with cool on-water marine demonstrations. It’s a splashy spectacle you won’t want to miss!
