For over two decades, Silk Road Music’s pioneering musical fusions have blended Chinese folk and classical music with jazz, blues, Brazilian, Celtic, Spanish, Arabic and Aboriginal music to create a unique sound. ABOUT SILK ROAD MUSIC:
Silk Road Music is a Vancouver-based music ensemble known for its unique blend of Chinese and Western musical traditions, particularly in its fusion of classical Chinese music with jazz, blues, and world music. Founded by Qiu Xia He, the ensemble has performed extensively in Canada and internationally, earning recognition with West Coast Music Awards and a JUNO nomination.
