On Saturdays and Sundays, October 4th-5th and 11th-12th, join us at the Chinese Bunkhouse from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for an immersive cultural experience.
Also known as the Mooncake Festival or Moon Festival, this annual holiday celebrates family, the harvest, and the beauty of the full moon. Observed on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, the festival is celebrated across many parts of Asia and features customs such as family gatherings, moon gazing, the sharing of mooncakes, and the lighting of lanterns.
Visitors can drop in to try out two fun activities: create their own paper red lantern and craft a mooncake out of playdough! This is a perfect way to connect with the essence of the Mid-Autumn Festival and bring a piece of this vibrant cultural heritage home with you.
