"Art Jewelry: what makes it different than the commercial jewelry that we purchase in a traditional jewelry store? Art Jewelry is more than the intrinsic value of the materials, it is more than a symbol of an organization, club or status and finally it is more than body adornment or enhancement.
Art Jewelry can be made from a variety of materials, it may or may not be of a different scale than traditional jewelry and it may be challenging to wear or it could be a small easily worn object. What sets it apart from traditional commercial jewelry is its value as a work by an individual artist much in the same way a painting or sculpture is valued." - Jan Smith
Artist Talk - Carousel Theatre, 6-6:45pm
Exhibition - 1386 Cartwright St, Granville Island
