Jamie has been creating moccasins by hand for the last twelve years. As an artist, she takes on orders and allows customers the opportunity for customization through beadwork. She chose to use this series as an opportunity to create moccasins entirely for herself, instead of creating with the intention to sell. She explains that these pieces were a journey of self-discovery and growth, and a gift to create her own joy.
In addition to featuring the moccasins themselves, the exhibition will also feature a selection of large-format photographs showcasing the moccasins in a natural environment, which was a major inspiration for each pair.
