Aiming to take their obsession and appreciation in wide influences of music to the next level....
Brothers Mike and Kyle Langlois set off on a journey to create something that would mash the multiple styles, sounds, fun and creation, they have thrived on since childhood.
Starting out recording on answering machines using drum loops behind them. The Langlois brothers, started switching from Guitar, Bass or Drums among them, and became focused on creating riffs and structuring melodies. Mike started testing out his lyrical writing abilities and the first handful of songs were born!
After a couple attempts at putting a band together, they have secured the talents of Cabbage (Cale Hall) on drums,
Together this unstoppable power trio aims to please just about anyone blending genres including Reggae, Psychedelic Classic Rock, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Punk, Ska, Rockabilly, Surf , Hip Hop and a few others as well. Kownterpoint being all self taught musicians, have the ability to switch around instruments and have it sound just as good. Their music brings the high times and positive energy that leaves concertgoers wanting more. They surely keep the party going or bring one if it aint already happening!
Weather it be Moshing to a raging Punk song, Groovin to a solid Reggae/ Hip Hop beat. Skanking to some sweet Ska sounds. or Stompin' round to some Rockabilly. These guys will always impress you with their- No Limits -Spontaneous - Music Loving Approach!!!
