Our staff will guide you through one hour of activities as we learn about the biodiversity of this great river.
Nature Weaving
Nature is full of colours, textures, and interesting materials to discover! This month, we are headed to Coquitlam River Park to explore nature through weaving. We will create a simple loom, search the park for natural materials, and weave our discoveries into a creation inspired by the world around us!
This event will take place rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather.
Registration cost includes admission to the Fraser River Discovery Centre. Pay when you register for this workshop, and the next time you visit the Centre in-person, you will be admitted for free.
WHAT:
- Learn how to make a nature loom.
- Observe the natural materials during a nature walk.
- Learn about the variety of plants around the Fraser River.
COST: Includes admission to the Discovery Centre. Specific costs are listed below:
Family Ticket ($20.00) – for 2 adults and up to 4 children
Adult Ticket ($8.00) – Adult 19 and older
Senior Ticket ($6.00) – Senior 65 and older
Student Ticket ($6.00) – Student ID required
Child Ticket ($5.00) – children aged 3-12
