Artist rendering of proposed artwork in the Clayton Community Centre lobby.
This Fall at Clayton Community Centre (CCC), Nelms invites community members to participate in portrait sessions, creative workshops, and meaningful conversations. The end result will be a large-scale hanging portrait mobile in the lobby of CCC. The installation will weave together historical portraits from the Surrey Archives with portraits of today, each transformed with hand-woven elements that extend beyond the print, symbolizing the ideas, connections, and collective actions that shape our communities and weave our shared future.
Nelms invites community members to participate in free portrait sessions, creative workshops, and meaningful conversations.
