ROSANNA TERRACCIANO – “We All Need To Say GOODBYE/ADIOS” is a meditation on loss, an intimate experience shared between solo performer and each unique audience. It is a visual and movement-based interpretation of things that are lost, and things that are gained. It incorporates elements of live performance and short film; both created and interpreted by Rosanna Terracciano. It is a visual play on objects used in the traditional flamenco dance form, including peinetas (hair pieces) and abanicos (fans). The original musical score is created by experimental percussionist, noise musician and improviser, Chris Dadge, with flamenco guitar by David Matyas. We All Need To Say GOODBYE/ADIOS premiered internationally at the 2014 Bienal de Flamenco Sevilla, and was presented at the premiere edition of the Coetáni Experimental Flamenco Festival in 2015 in Athens. Created with the generous support of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Banff Centre and the EMMEDIA Gallery & Production Society Open Access Program.
