Take a bite out of BC’s largest blueberry pie at "Pie in the Plaza", a public festival to celebrate food and farming in Surrey. The feature event will be the creation of B.C.’s largest blueberry pie! Participate in a variety of fun and educational activities. See the entire list below!

11am: Watch as B.C.’s largest blueberry pie is created before your eyes
12 noon: Ceremonial pie cutting!
Blueberry pie is served to the first 2,000 guests
1pm: Animal mascots join in the fun and games
2pm: Pie throwing contest

BC's Largest Blueberry Pie
BC’s largest blueberry pie will be co-presented with PricePro and the John Volken Academy! Thanks to their generosity in baking, assembling and serving fresh blueberry pie. Free pie will be served to the first 2,000 guests.
Petting Zoo
Children of all ages can say hello to goats, sheep, rabbits, and chickens in this unique mobile petting zoo! Participants can learn about animal care through educational materials.
Delilah the Cow
Come try and your hand at milking with BC Agriculture in the Classroom’s “Delilah the Cow” exhibit. Learn about where your food comes from, and the importance of agriculture in Surrey.
Heritage Hangout
Historic Stewart Farm and the Surrey Archives will showcase farming and farm life in early Surrey through interactive games, puzzles, crafts and conversations. Try some Heritage Candy from the Heritage Advisory Commission, and test your skills in matching historic buildings to present day locations!
Tractors, Rope Making and more!
Climb on a tractor, make a jump rope with an antique rope maker, and pump your own water –the old fashioned way – as you learn about farm equipment through the ages with the Fraser Valley Antique Farm Machinery Association.
Healthy Streams, Healthy Fish
Fishy fun activities that make the connection between fish, food and farms will be hosted by Surrey’s Salmon Habitat Restoration Program.
Seed Planting
Plant a seed you can take home while you learn about growing your own food and community gardens in Surrey. Hosted by Can You Dig It.
Honeybee Centre
Learn all about the important role that honeybees bring to our food production and ecosystems through fun activities and games, with the Honeybee Centre. Plus, pick up some fresh honey to spread on your toast!
Squirmy Wormies
