Did you know one hen can lay from 80 to 300 eggs per year? That's a lot of scrambled eggs!
1 out of 3 bites of food people eat is thanks to crop pollination by honeybees.
Families find out where their food comes from (hint: it's not the supermarket) as we unveil a fresh new Kids Gallery theme.
- Check out modern farming in our greenhouse.
- Plant a window box.
- Puzzle over land use while building a mini-community.
- Reach for the sky in the treehouse.
Join us for a special reopening event and get your hands on these fun activities:
- Join puppeteer Norma McKnight for stories and songs with Kids Gallery characters Blaze, Alisha and Stella the Jay.
- Watch for The Re-enactors as they stroll the Museum galleries sharing 100 years of Surrey’s true stories from 1872 to 1972.
- Get your face painted (Mr. Potato Head, anyone?).
- Check out crafts, activities and a foodie scavenger hunt.
- The Friends of the Museum will host a burger/hot dog BBQ with the Cloverdale Lions.
