Welcome local and national delegates to Surrey for the 2016 Creative City Summit

The 2016 Creative City Summit is the only national conference of its kind that focuses on municipalities and culture. Representatives from municipalities, art organizations, provincial and federal government agencies and others can meet to share ideas, connect, and work together to build vital infrastructure for arts and culture development in Canada.
The Summit is designed to provide practioners with a platform to exchange ideas and learn from their peers.
The 2.5 day Summit features
- Keynote speakers;
- Panel discussions;
- Peer to peer presentations;
- Study tours; and
a Public Art Pre-Conference Roundtable
The City of Surrey will also be hosting an Opening Night Reception featuring artists Tristan Paxton Jazz Trio, Sal Ferreras and Friends, Renee Sarojini Saklikar (Surrey Poet Laureate), and Carlyn Yandle and Debbie Tuepah (The Network interactive art installation).
