Frank Viva is an award-winning illustrator of several books for children. His art also appears regularly in The New York Times Magazine and on the cover of The New Yorker. This morning these two multi-talented author-artists present their latest works for young people. Viva’s heavily illustrated Sea Change is loosely based on childhood summers spent with relatives in a remote corner of Nova Scotia, while Hicks’ graphic novel, The Nameless City, the first in an eventual trilogy, is set in a fictional world based on historical China. Two vastly different worlds brought to life by words and pictures.
