Host: Caroline Adderson
Last year’s Scotiabank Giller Prize winner, Trinidad-born André Alexis joins one of the world’s top writers of crime fiction, UK-born Peter Robinson, and multi-award winner Irish-born Emma Donoghue to read from their new novels. These prolific and well-loved writers take the stage along with Rowan Hisayo Buchanan, a Japanese-British-Chinese-American writer whose literary debut followed a fierce six-way auction. Italy’s Francesca Melandri reads from her debut novel, Eva Sleeps, now a bestseller in that country and soon to be a film. And you’ll love hearing a new voice from Toronto’s Korean community, Ann Y.K. Choi.
